Salut,
I'm Mona.
Actually from Munich, but a bit French at heart. I always wanted to be a chef! And where can you learn more about cuisine and enjoyment than in France? I ended up in the west of France, on the Atlantic coast. In Nantes, the capital of Brittany until the middle of the last century, I learned to cook with lots of butter (a Breton habit) and love (a fact throughout France). Then I worked in Paris, which, in my opinion, has the most innovative restaurants in France. My dream, however, was to open my own restaurant. That's why I looked a little beyond the rim of the saucepan and returned to my hometown to study business administration. The pandemic started the concept of “cooking for neighbors” and I am now opening my own restaurant “Coup de Coeur” on Westendstr. In many ways, my love continues to be for beautiful France, the French style of cooking and the "art de vivre", the art of enjoyable living. At Coup de Coeur at Westendstrasse 29 there are changing dishes at lunchtime from 12 p.m. Here you can eat on site or take something with you. I create French-style dishes for you using regional ingredients, and there are always vegetarian dishes too.

Your really, really tiny restaurant on Schwanthalerhöhe is located at Westendstraße 29 and is only open for lunch during the week. The “Gusto” testers particularly liked their Francophile, “fascinatingly subtle cuisine.” Read more

A visit to Coup de Coeur is like a short trip to France. Luckily there was no long journey. We loved the Queue de lotte au céleri, the monkfish tail with creamy celery puree, the Poitrine de porc aux champignons, a cleverly seasoned pork belly, and the vegetarian onsen egg with purple potatoes and green sauce. The right French wine recommendation is always included, alternatively cider or homemade lemonade.

The small menu only includes a handful of dishes that change weekly, but they are all bursting with freshness and craftsmanship. The dishes are always simple but never arbitrary, but are wonderfully Francophile infused with a love of butter, yet fascinatingly delicate and subtle, such as a course of beef fillet, braised radicchio and (buttery!) currant jus.

This makes them quite successful to this day, in addition to the coup de coeur. There, on Westendstrasse, there are now changing daily specials - fish, meat, vegetarian - mostly in the French style and of the best quality at reasonable prices.
